Summary: Responsible for constructing, repairing and maintaining machine tools and dies in conformance with their individual specifications for production.
​
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Responsible for repairing and maintaining machine tools and dies
Involved with operating a wire EDM machine
Responsible for constructing new tools and dies as needed
Involved with verifying conformance of machined or repaired dies to drawing specifications by checking dimensions, clearances and alignments
Trouble shooting die problems during production
Keep work area clean and clear of debris
Follow company’s safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Post-Secondary education in tool and die field or minimum 5yrs. experience as a tool and die maker
Knowledge of basic math, basic to intermediate computer knowledge and skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work effectively with co-workers, supervisors and staff
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Able to adapt to changing work needs and expectations

Working Conditions:
Manufacturing working environment. Temperatures will range from 50 to 85 degrees. The noise level is usually loud and ear protection may be required.
